What We Do
Have you been told that you don't qualify for Medi-Cal because you have too much money or too many assets?
We hear from people all the time who have been told they needn't bother to apply for Medi-Cal because they won't qualify. This is simply not true. Medi-Cal rules provide for the exemption of certain kinds of assets. We know these rules and we use them to help you. The easiest way to describe what we do is this:

a nursing home, it can be a confusing
and even frightening ordeal. Costs for
care have risen dramtically. Many people
are faced with the possibility of spending
their entire life's savings to pay for it.
We'll help you to protect the work of your
lifetime and still get the care you need.
At Medi-Cal Asset Preservation, we work
with you to find the best strategies for
preserving the assets that took a lifetime
to acquire and assist in finding the care
that you or your loved ones need.
The State of California is required by law
to disclose these strategies to you. But
sifting through page after page of
regulations is no easy task particularly
when your primary concern is not money
but health. We've helped hundreds of
people obtain the Medi-Cal benefits they
need. We are dedicated to helping you
get those benefits so that you or your
loved one can get the health care needed
at the lowest possible cost to you.
Why Do We Do This?
Medi-Cal Asset Preservation is a group of
former Medi-Cal Eligibility workers with
many years of experience. During our
time as government workers, we learned
the ins and outs of Medi-Cal case work.
Along the way, we all made the same
profound discovery. We found out that
people can legally protect their assets and
still get Medi-Cal benefits!
But we also grew frustrated with working
for government bureacracy. To us, there
seemed to be far more emphasis on
clearing cases in the fastest way possible
and far less emphasis on actually helping
people in need. Some of us were even
told that it wasn't in our job description
to help people preserve their assets and
that we were only there to determine
whether or not they were eligible. As you
can imagine, we all found this very
frustrating as we watched many people
spend away the hard-earned assets that
they had accumulated throughout their
lives just to be able to afford nursing
home care.
It was so disheartening to see this that
we decided to do something about it: we
started a new business! Now, as Medi-
Cal Asset Preservation, we're private
business people and we can help all
members of the community who need
assistance in obtaining Medi-Cal benefits
while maintaining the integrity of the
assets they have worked a lifetime to
build.
